Art Fundraiser/Call for artists: Spread the good news! Arte al Rescate has raised over $28,000 through the visuals arts,sponsorships and individual donations! AAR will be hosting AN ART FUNDRAISER FOR PUERTO RICO on Thursday, October 11th at the Green Exchange building in Chicago. We are accepting art donations for this event. BACK TO SCHOOL MISSION: A success! We recently impacted 23 municipalities in the island by providing backpacks 🎒 and school supplies 📓✏️✂️ to over 850 children with the support of #socialworkschi.org in Chicago and Spread the Love Mission and Mofongo Caribbean in the state of Texas. ART TO HEAL IN MANATI: We are sponsoring an ART Program in PUERTO RICO by artist JOAN MATOS from MANATI. Joan 👩🏼🎨 will be offering painting workshops at the Manati cultural center for women who were affected or traumatized by hurricane Maria. “Arte con Proposito: transformando trauma en triunfo”-“Art with a purpose, transforming trauma to triumph”
The other workshop will be offered to an elderly center In Manatí. We are excited to sponsor this program.
CHRISTMAS TOY DRIVE: This year our toy drive promises to be a major project and we are already seeking elves 🧝♀️! We need jolly volunteers to help pack and ship. We are extremely excited to warm the hearts of so many children this X-mas season in Puerto Rico.
