Call for Artist:
Arte al Rescate is excited to announce its third annual art fundraiser exhibit, “Sowing Seeds, Harvesting Dreams”. We are seeking 100 young artists from Chicago, New York and Puerto Rico between the ages of eight to seventeen to donate their original works of art –paintings, photographs, drawings, mixed- media and sculpture to Arte al Rescate a 501C3 not for profit. This visual dialogue is an inspiration to produce work that will contribute to the relief efforts in Puerto Rico.
THEME:
Your donated art piece should tell a story, or visually interpret life in Puerto Rico since the passage of Hurricane Maria. Creativity and originality is encouraged, while keeping in line with the theme of, resilience, community regrowth and rebirth of Puerto Rico.
Young artists will be given an opportunity to participate in a fine arts exhibit alongside seasoned art professionals who will also exhibit at Workshop4200. You will also contribute to a humanitarian effort for communities that are still in need throughout the island of Puerto Rico. Arte al Rescate values every helping hand. This exhibit is particularly special as it highlights the contributions of our youth. These young artists are our future humanitarians and community leaders.

The annual AAR fundraiser Exhibition will be held in the main Gallery of Workshop4200, 4200 W. Diversey ave, Chicago IL. The Sowing Seeds Exhibition runs from November 16,2019 to December 14, 2019. Open reception will be held Saturday November 16th from 5pm until 9pm. All artists and family members are encouraged to attend the reception. Free Parking on the east side of the Building. Main entry on Tripp ave.
Deadline for art donations – Friday, October 18,2019.

Index card #1 - Name, age and 2-3 sentences about the art piece
Index card #2 – Include a short biography (3-5 sentences).
Index card #3 – Include your address which will be used to mail a certificate of participation.
