Today we went to the Residential area of Alturas de Adjuntas where I was contacted to spend some time with their community. It is a remote place on the mountains where residents live terrified by how strong the tremors feel. We can't forget those people. We worked with children and adults. There is a great need for mental health service but through the arts we can channel feelings and emotions. I was accompanied by Actress Ponceña Maddy Rivera who offered a theater workshop and I offered a painting workshop. We have to work in these areas and so many others because the number of suicides is increasing dramatically. Thanks to Arte al Rescate we are carrying a positive message. By Lizette Garriga
